The Gilbert Library

Welcome to!

we are very excited to offer this new way of connecting Northfield with its neighborhood library and its community. Here you can find where we are located, when we are open, our history, new books, how to contact us, upcoming events and more.

We will add links that will connect you to area happenings and things of interest.

Stop in and see us!

Library Reopening
The library is open regular hours. We are still requiring face coverings at this time. The computer and children’s craft and toys are not available yet. We expect to be able to have more available as well as library programs in the coming months.

Northfield Memorial/Decoration Day Ceremony
The Northfield Decoration Day ceremony will be held on the Northfield Green Sunday, June 6th at 11 am. All are welcome.

Kick Off Summer with Ice Cream from Noel’s Ice Cream Truck!
The library is inviting Northfield children to come and get an ice cream from Noel’s Ice Cream Truck on Friday, June 25th between 6-7 pm. Let’s kick off summer with a free treat and a visit back to the library! We’re excited to see everyone again so come on down!

"Tea at Three"
Come and join your neighbors for a cup of tea at the library on the first Wednesday of each month at 3 pm. We’ll have tea, cookies and conversation. Come alone or bring a friend! Summer dates are Wednesdays, June 2nd, July 7th, and August 4th.

Summer Hours:
Summer hours for the library (July and August) are Mondays and Wednesdays 2-7, Fridays 2-5.

The library will be closed Monday July 5th.
