The Gilbert Library

Welcome to!

we are very excited to offer this new way of connecting Northfield with its neighborhood library and its community. Here you can find where we are located, when we are open, our history, new books, how to contact us, upcoming events and more.

We will add links that will connect you to area happenings and things of interest.

Stop in and see us!

The Gilbert Library will be closed until further notice. Please send any questions or concerns to the library via email.

“Tea at Three”
Come and join your neighbors for a cup of tea at the library on the first Wednesday of each month at 3 pm. We’ll have tea and cookies and conversation. Come alone or bring a friend! Spring dates are Wednesdays, Mar 4th, April 1st, May 6th and June 3rd.

Cord of Wood Raffle
The winner of our raffle for the cord of wood is Steve Geddes. The winning ticket was drawn by library patron Kurtis Neddermann on Friday, February 28th at the library. Bruce Turner of Turner Logging and Firewood graciously donated a cord of wood, split and delivered to help raise funds for the library. Congratulations Steve and a big thank you to Bruce!
