Visit from White Memorial
What feature does an opossum possess, unlike other North American mammal? What does a box turtle have in common with a door? Why do owls have asymmetrical ears? Strange questions, indeed, but all of their answers come down to some amazing animal adaptations! Join White Memorial’s Education Director, Carrie Szwed, as she uses natural props, animal mounts, and even a couple of live animals to illustrate structural and behavioral adaptations of native CT animals. Learn how these adaptations help animals survive in different environments. This program engages kids and adults alike! Wednesday, Nov 20th at 4 pm.

Holiday Story Time
On Friday, Dec 6th at 6 pm we will have a pajama story time with stories and a holiday craft. Hot cocoa will be served from our hot cocoa bar with all the fixings!
Registration is required.

Gingerbread House Workshop
On Friday, Dec 13th at 4 pm come and join your friends to make your own gingerbread house. Everything you’ll need to make a miniature gingerbread house to take home.
Registration is required

“Tea at Three”
Come and join your neighbors for a cup of tea at the library on the first Wednesday of each month at 3 pm. We’ll have tea and cookies and conversation. Come alone or bring a friend! Next “Tea at Three” will be Wednesday, Dec 4th.
